Communities of Santa Rosa and San Clemente, located about 20 minutes from Ibarra.

Foundation ADIN consists of a group of community based projects that focuses on sustainable community based tourism and education projects. Through ADIN, volunteers have the option of spending at least one week in a few of their projects or a longer period of time in one project.  The communities of Santa Rosa and San Clemente have started small tourism projects to draw visitors to a beautiful location and participate in community based tourism. For their community projects, they are seeking volunteers to work in their schools, as they believe that for the community to move forward in the future, you must start with the youngest generation of children.

San Clemente is a community of about 150 families or 630 people, with a small school of 70 children and 4 professors. They would like volunteers to teach ingles, art, and about the environment. In the afternoons, the volunteers could help the community families on their farms and the daily tasks of life in that community.
The community of Santa Rosa would like volunteers to work in their school of about 300 children. There would be projects in teaching English, teaching workshops in nutrition and hygiene, teaching workshops in self confidence and self esteem, and working in the school vegetable gardens to teach about sustainable practices.  They would also like the children to get more didactical information in subjects like art and theater.
Volunteers with medical experience could get involved in the community medical dispensary, to distribute medicines and do workshops in health and work with mothers and their children.
For volunteers with experience in marketing and interest in small businesses, the community makes small traditional ornaments and is looking to expand that business to new markets in Quito or in Ibarra. They would like to develop a weekly market where they can sell their crafts and increase sales through promotion and more outreach.

One week to take part in the activities of the community in agriculture or handicrafts, at least on month for teaching projects
