There are a broad range of tasks that volunteers can assist the Foundation with, depending on their skills, experiences and interests.
The tasks include, helping in the school, teaching classes where the volunteer has a specific skill, and providing much needed attention to the students in classes of mixed age groups. They can also assist greatly by helping the students with their homework, proving tuition and leading activities and sports, and teaching nutrition and hygiene.
Volunteers studying or working in the fields of anthropology, social work and psychology can assist greatly by working with the children and their families in the areas of therapy, self esteem creation and by working with the children’s families to overcoming the challenges they face to ensure a safe and happy environment for children to develop in.
The Foundation also needs the assistance of volunteer with experience in legal areas to help them to organize themselves within legal frameworks, and in relation to the rights of children that they work with. Other tasks that volunteers can help with include working in the kitchen and office and administration rolls.
Students in related fields can undertake internships and practical work with the Foundation
The foundation is keen to work with the specific skill set and interests of the volunteer to create a work program for them that is productive and beneficial for both parties. |
