Project Name:	Parque Itchimbia: Reforestation and environmental education
Project Location:	Parque Itchimbía, Quito
Project Description:	Park Itchimbía is a situated on a hill over looking the heart of Quito, on land that only recently lay disused and polluted. The park includes green spaces, areas of reforestation, a Cultural Centre, a natural amphitheatre, a nursery and areas for education and activities for children.
Range of Tasks:	Volunteers can assist with the Park’s reforestation projects, gardening, cleaning and maintenance, and with waste management and recycling programs. Dependant on their Spanish abilities they could also help with education projects and provision of information to the public. Students of relevant courses or professionals can also develop research projects in conjunction with the Park.
Time Committment:	Two weeks, however the longer the time, the more beneficial for both parties.
Skills required:	Relevant studies or experience appreciated but not necessary.
Schedule:	To be arranged with the Park. There is generally more activity in the morning.
