Yanapuma group projects are generally organized
on a monthly or bimonthly schedule. Groups of volunteers spend from one
to three weeks working on a specific project, such as reforestation, construction,
or other community-organized work. These projects offer volunteers the chance to make a really positive and tangible contribution to the communities that we are working with.
Groups will
spend most of the time working on the project, but with some time for
cultural and other activities.
Costs for each project vary according to the
community and materials needed. We encourage volunteers to raise funds at home for materials before arriving here in Ecuador, but it is not essential.
