On the 22nd of April 2007 members of Yanapuma Foundation came together with parents of children in the daycare center to help to put together a children's play and adventure center. This was pre-fabricated by a local carpenter and delivered to the daycare center in various parts that needed sanding, painting, assembling and finishing.

The play center was financed by a donation from the Skon nursery from the Netherlands, a donation that we received through Moving Ecuador. We chose to involve the community in the construction and assembly of the giant train as a way to make them feel more involved and to encourage them to take pride in a job well done and to appreciate the value of contributing personally to the improvement of the daycare center.  It will provide a valuable assett to the dacyare center in La Union as well as being a stimulating play option for the children.
